Capitol Christmas Tree
Washington, D.C.
2009
Our Kindergarteners, First and Second Graders joined schoolchildren from throughout Arizona in creating beautiful ornaments to adorn the 2009 Capitol Christmas Tree. Of the more than 5,000 ornaments submitted, approximately 600 were chosen to decorate the tree. Mrs. Wood's friend, Kristen Becker, who lives in the D.C. area, was kind enough to visit the tree on our behalf. To Ms. Becker's delight, she found and photographed THREE of HTA's ornaments! Out of the thousands of decorations submitted, ours were chosen! We are very proud of our students for their National recognition.

Found one!

Found another!

And another. There may have been more,
but three were located and photographed.

Fr. Jim posed with some of the Elementary students, Miss Barbara, Mrs. Rock and Mrs. Wood after he blessed Mrs. Wood's Kindergarten classroom on Holy Epiphany.

Fr. Jim blessed Mrs. Rock's room next and was again joined by Miss Barbara, Mrs. Rock, Mrs. Wood and some Elementary students.

Mrs. Wood demonstrated how she "dives right in."

Fr. Jim held the attention of a Pre K 4 student.

Fr. Jim talked with some Pre K 4 students during their lunch time.

Thank you, Fr. Jim!
